Engineering Manager

Led multidisciplinary teams of 7–13 engineers responsible for the Listings experience across web, mobile, and backend services. Engineering Manager responsibilities began in August 2022, with the formal title transition in January 2023.
- Owned people development through coaching, regular feedback, career planning, performance reviews, team transitions, hiring, and promotion support.
- Drove engineering strategy with Product, Design, SRE, Platform, and Analytics partners while keeping architecture, reliability, delivery, and engineering standards close to the team.
- Led the extraction of Listings pages from a legacy Django monolith into an isolated AWS architecture with independently deployable, event-driven services and a modern web application.
- More than halved response times, brought all Core Web Vitals into green ranges, strengthened SEO, and improved the platform's readiness for AI-mediated search and discovery.
- Directed phased and blue-green rollouts for three critical services, including observability, incident response, on-call readiness, resilience, security, performance, and accessibility.
- Introduced responsible AI-augmented engineering through workshops, reusable workflows, coaching, experimentation, and company-wide collaboration with AI Champions and the CTO.
